CRE Relationship Manager III This position is for a Relationship Manager III in Commercial Real Estate Lending, focused on developing and servicing client relationships in the NY Regional market. The Relationship Manager III is responsible for driving portfolio growth through the origination of new commercial lending and deposit clients, as well as the strategic expansion and cross‑selling of existing relationships. This high‑impact sales and business development role encompasses end‑to‑end deal execution—from targeted marketing, pre‑screen financial analysis, and structuring/negotiation to formal transaction presentation.
Additionally, the position involves running pricing/return risk models, developing internal credit memos, managing an active sales pipeline, and collaborating closely with underwriting, asset management, and credit risk teams to expand the bank’s footprint.
- Business Development & Client Acquisition:
Identify and engage high‑value commercial real estate (CRE) prospects using and external databases - Actively participate in industry networking activities to drive origination growth aligned with CRE budget and asset/liability objectives
- Relationship Management & Cross‑Selling:
Build, extend, and sustain long‑term client relationships by delivering customized product and service solutions, continually seeking opportunities to deepen overall portfolio business - Market Expertise & Competitive Intelligence:
Maintain advanced knowledge of CRE products, deal structuring options, and market trends, while continuously monitoring competitor offerings, pricing, and market dynamics - End‑to‑End Deal Execution:
Collaborate with internal partners throughout the deal approval, sizing, underwriting, and closing phases to manage client expectations and ensure smooth execution - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Partner seamlessly with Underwriting, Risk, Commercial Client Services, and Treasury Management to deliver an exceptional, integrated client experience
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial real estate lending
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics
- Possession of strong collaboration skills
- Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Argus or other real‑estate‑specific software platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- At least 6 years of experience in commercial real estate lending
- Production or origination experience with first mortgage secured, structured, note on note, subscription facilities and unsecured loans

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
