Location: New York

Our client is a well-established single-family office based in New York City with a diversified investment portfolio spanning public and private markets. The platform invests across public equities, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, real estate, and other alternative investments through a combination of external managers, co-investments, and select direct investments. The investment team is intentionally lean and offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the broader portfolio.

The Senior Investment Associate will work closely with senior investment leadership and play a key role across manager due diligence, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring. This is an opportunity for an investor to take on meaningful responsibility across multiple asset classes and grow into progressively senior portfolio management responsibilities within a long-term family office platform.

Location: New York City, NY

Responsibilities
  • Lead due diligence, evaluation, and monitoring of investment managers across public and private markets
  • Contribute to asset allocation and portfolio construction decisions
  • Analyze investment opportunities across traditional and alternative asset classes
  • Monitor portfolio performance, risk, and liquidity
  • Prepare investment memoranda, performance reports, and materials for senior leadership
  • Develop and maintain relationships with fund managers and other investment industry contacts
  • Support client reporting and family-facing communications
  • Conduct research and special projects related to portfolio strategy, new asset classes, and investment opportunities
Qualifications
  • 3–7 years of investment experience at an institutional allocator, investment consultant, endowment/foundation, family office, or fund-of-funds platform
  • Bachelor’s degree required; CFA or progress toward CFA is a plus
  • Experience evaluating investment managers across traditional and alternative asset classes
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in investing across asset classes
  • Self-directed, organized, and comfortable working in a lean team environment
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; portfolio analytics experience preferred
  • Python, SQL, or other programming experience is a plus
  • Ability to effectively leverage AI tools in investment and analytical workflows
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
