The Sustainability Group at Temasek comprises multiple specialized sub-teams that work in partnership with the Investment Group and functional teams to strengthen the organization’s sustainability capabilities. These sub‑teams include Sustainability Strategy, which advances policies toward net zero and inclusive growth;
Sustainable Solutions, which drives decarbonization and identifies investment opportunities in sustainable living trends; ESG Investment Management, which integrates environmental, social, and governance considerations across the investment process; and Ecosperity, which accelerates systems‑change through engagement, thought leadership, and advocacy.
Temasek’s ESG Investment Management team is seeking an experienced ESG professional to support the integration of environmental, social, and governance considerations across new investment opportunities and targeted portfolio company engagements. This position represents a key role within a global team that works across multiple geographies and time zones to strengthen Temasek’s sustainability capabilities. The successful candidate will report to the Director of ESG Investment Management based in Singapore and will collaborate closely with the Chief Sustainability Officer based in New York, as well as the broader ESG Investment Management team and relevant teams within the Investment Group and Sustainability Group.
This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and geographies in a fast‑changing environment. The position involves serving as a trusted business partner to the Investment Group throughout the investment lifecycle, from pre-investment due diligence through post-investment engagement. The candidate will be instrumental in identifying and assessing material environmental and social issues for investment targets, developing ESG action plans with portfolio companies, and ensuring both value protection and value creation.
Additionally, the role encompasses building relationships with external asset managers, conducting research on critical ESG topics and megatrends, and supporting the development of Temasek’s sustainability knowledge repository.
