We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support the Chief Financial Officer across accounting, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. This role is a key contributor to the team and plays an important part in maintaining the organization’s financial health through accurate processing, reporting, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities Accounting, Financial Operations Administration & HR Support- Invoice processing & preparation of vendor payments.
- Identify and track expense allocations.
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank, investment, and American Express accounts.
- Process accounts receivable and support collections activities.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes & reports.
- Assist and support preparation of regulatory filings such as 1099s and Form 990.
- Support annual audit activities.
- Support budgeting & planning with forecasting of revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- Payroll, Benefits & Cross-Functional Support
- Assist with reviewing biweekly payroll reports for accuracy and reconciliation.
- Track PTO usage and maintain payroll-related records in ADP.
- Assist with commuter, insurance, and benefit reimbursement tracking.
- Cross-train with HR on payroll and benefits processes as needed.
- Ad hoc: perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of financial analysis or accounting experience; nonprofit or association experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / Excel; strong data analysis and modeling skills.
- Understanding of GAAP.
- Experience with accounting and payroll systems such as Quick Books, ADP, or Power BI preferred.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
