We are seeking experienced Head of Finance to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of a dynamic brokerage firm while advancing your career in the U.S. financial markets.
The Head of Finance is the senior finance executive for Toss Securities US. This role owns two connected mandates:
- US Finance Leadership: oversight of the finance function in the US including controllership, regulatory/net capital reporting, treasury coordination, and audit management while serving as the primary link between US finance operations and Group finance colleagues at TSKR, including regular direct engagement with the Parent CFO.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and business-partnering across the US organization and Korea.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong technical finance skills, regulatory fluency in broker-dealer requirements, and the ability to translate between local US operational needs and group-level reporting/governance expectations.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead financial strategy and execution across our US subsidiaries
- Build actionable financial strategy at the entity and consolidated US level: KPIs, budgets, forecasts, capital allocation, treasury management.
- Translate strategy into business impact.
- Lead the Accounting and Regulatory finance team.
- Stay current on regulatory changes affecting broker-dealer financial reporting and capital requirements.
Drive performance analysis and decision support
- Lead performance analysis across products, services, and business unit initiatives.
- Partner with US and Korean executives to sharpen and accelerate decisions.
- Develop a KPI and reporting framework ensuring and accurate and consistent structure that blends into the group consolidated processes.
- Support the team on key business third-party relationships were they drive revenue and expenses.
Own US financial modeling and quantitative simulation
- Model strategy, pricing, product launches, and organizational changes to find the optimal. path forward.
- Be able to explain why the strategy holds up under stress.
- Be the bridge between US operations and Korean colleagues
- Translate financial signals across two regulatory contexts (SEC/FINRA - FSC/FSS), two languages, and two operating cultures.
- Run cross-border conversations with US business leaders, Korean executives, product teams, and external partners.
Lead US finance operations
- Own financial close, US GAAP reporting, and the external audit relationship.
- Manage US tax, regulatory compliance, and capital structure for our US entities.
- Build the function, not just operate it.
- 10+ years in finance, FP&A, strategy, or management accounting, with leadership experience in the US.
- Currently working in the US as Director of FP&A, Head of FP&A, VP Finance, or equivalent a financial services, fintech, or growth-stage company.
- Bilingual in Korean and English at a professional level. Comfortable operating effectively in both US business contexts and Korean HQ culture.
- Has personally led entity-level or division-level financial strategy from direction-setting through execution, not just analysis handoffs.
- Frames direction for the organization from a financial lens.
- Drives cross-functional alignment proactively with business leaders, executives, and external partners.
- Curious mindset:
Asks "why are we doing it this way" and builds better structures, doesn't accept the status quo.
- Location:
New York, NY (with required 3 - 6 month rotation at Toss Securities Korea (on-site and travel and accommodation will be supported). - After rotation:
Relocate back to the US to lead financial strategy and operations. - Reports to:
CEO Toss Securities US - Direct Reports:
Director & FINOP, Accounting Manager. - Travel: US-Seoul travel expected post-rotation 2 trips per year.
- Prior CFO, VP Finance, or Head of Finance role at a US-listed or pre-IPO fintech, broker-dealer, asset manager, or financial services firm.
- US securities or fintech background, retail brokerage, crypto, asset management, or trading platforms (e.g., experience at firms like Robinhood, Coinbase, Schwab, SoFi, IBKR, or similar).
- Fluent with ERP, Tableau, Excel, BI tools, and AI tools (Claude, Codex, etc.) for financial automation.
- Familiar with both US GAAP and K-IFRS and cross-border reporting.
