Brookfield Energy, the flagship listed energy platform of Brookfield Asset Management (over $1 trillion AUM), is hiring a VP - Capital Partnerships, Energy based at Brookfield Place, New York. The role sits within Brookfield's energy transition capital-raising effort, working closely with the investment, sustainability, and asset management teams to design and structure investment vehicles and capital programs across Brookfield's Renewable Power and Transition franchise.
Key responsibilities include supporting the creation and structuring of new investment products by aligning LP capital allocation with core Energy investment themes; leading research into new sectors and screening opportunities that could seed future investment strategies; and independently structuring, executing, and negotiating equity capital solutions for existing and new fund investments, including co-investments, continuation vehicles, yield-cos, club deals, joint ventures, and minority stake sales.
The VP will also collaborate directly with Brookfield's institutional investor base to build strategic investment partnerships, design capital solutions, and raise third-party equity across the platform. Brookfield Energy's portfolio spans hydroelectric, wind, utility-scale solar, distributed generation and storage assets across North America, South America, Europe and Asia, with over 35,000 megawatts of operating capacity and a roughly 200,000-megawatt development pipeline. The portfolio also includes investments in Westinghouse's nuclear services business and carbon capture and storage, agricultural renewable natural gas, and materials recycling assets.
Brookfield seeks candidates aligned with its Attributes of a Brookfield Leader: entrepreneurial, collaborative, and disciplined, with exposure to structuring and negotiating capital solutions in a fast-moving, institutionally-backed energy investment platform.
