Backed by Transformation Capital, Twelve Below, Virtue, and the founders of industry‑leading companies, we are assembling a world‑class team of operators and technologists. Building something great takes dedication and relentless drive. We seek ambitious leaders who thrive in high‑ownership, high‑impact environments.

About the Role

As Finance Manager at Solstice, you will build and own our financial operations, reporting directly to the co‑founders. You will be our first dedicated finance hire — responsible for standing up clean, audit‑ready books, running payroll and compliance, and building the financial models and reporting our leadership team and board rely on. This is a hands‑on, builder role: you won’t inherit a finance function, you’ll create one.

  • Own the accounting function end‑to‑end, including monthly close, accounts payable and receivable, and financial statement accuracy.
  • Own invoicing and billing for our pharma brand clients, and drive accounts receivable collections — chasing down late payments, managing customer payment terms, and keeping days sales outstanding (DSO) in check.
  • Run payroll and ensure tax and regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions we operate in.
  • Build and maintain our core financial models, including a three‑statement model, cash flow forecasts, and burn/runway tracking.
  • Design and implement financial controls, expense policy, and approval workflows as we scale headcount and spend.
  • Prepare board‑ready reporting packages and partner with the co‑founders on budgeting and financial planning.
  • Manage relationships with our bank, auditors, and any outside accounting or tax support.
  • Lay the groundwork for the systems and processes a growing finance team will build on.
What You’ll Be Working On
  • Cleaning up and professionalizing our books, chart of accounts, and close process.
  • Setting up a repeatable invoicing process for client billing and owning the A/R collections cadence — follow‑ups, aging reports, and escalations for overdue accounts.
  • Implementing an expense policy and spend controls as the team grows.
  • Building a reliable three‑statement financial model and monthly board reporting package.
  • Managing payroll, benefits administration coordination, and compliance filings.
  • Partnering with the co‑founders on budgeting, forecasting, and fundraise‑related financial diligence.
  • Selecting and implementing the accounting/finance tooling stack (e.g., Quick Books, bill pay, expense management).
  • Establishing the financial rigor and documentation standards that will support our next fundraise and eventual audit.
Ideal Candidate Profiles

This is a unique opportunity for candidates from many backgrounds, including:

  • A finance operator from an early‑stage startup ready to own a function independently rather than as part of a larger team.
  • A detail‑driven generalist with strong financial acumen who wants deep exposure to how an early‑stage company is actually run.
  • A former banker or accountant (Big
    4) who has moved into a startup finance seat and wants full ownership.
You Might Be a Good Fit if You:
  • Have 4–8 years' experience in accounting or finance, ideally including time in banking or strategic finance followed by an early‑stage startup environment.
  • Can independently build and maintain a three‑statement model and board‑ready reporting without heavy oversight.
  • Are comfortable being tactical and hands‑on — this role is about accuracy and execution, not high‑level strategy.
  • Have a strong grasp of GAAP, payroll compliance,…
