Location: New York
The Financial Data Analyst position supports the New York State Department of Financial Services' oversight of supervised financial entities through quantitative analysis, risk assessment, and regulatory review. Based in Albany or New York City, the role involves analyzing financial data, developing analytical tools and dashboards, supporting application reviews, and communicating findings to senior management and regulated entities. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Entity Risk Management Unit.
Keyqualifications:
- At least three years of experience in financial data analysis, risk analytics, economic analysis, or related field
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative discipline
- Experience with programming or statistical analysis tools such as Python, R, SAS, or SQL
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written communication skills for reports and formal documentation
