Support the end-to-end delivery of US HSBC North America Holdings (HNAH) and Group stress testing activities, including Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and HSBC Global (Group) stress tests, within Treasury Finance. The role is responsible for high-quality execution across analysis, review and challenge, documentation, process controls, process improvement, governance support and submission readiness. You’ll work closely with Finance, Treasury, Business and Risk stakeholders across HNAH and Group to ensure stress test outputs are accurate, well-controlled, explainable, and regulator-ready.

Stress

test execution, analysis and results production
  • Support delivery of CCAR and other US/Group stress tests in line with agreed timelines and governance
  • Execute and/or support model runs and results production for balance sheet and P&L components including: loans, deposits, non-interest revenue (NIR), and miscellaneous assets & liabilities, and produce results across retail and wholesale revenue streams
  • Perform analysis of stress test outputs including movement/variance analysis, sensitivities, trend reviews, and identification of key drivers
  • Prepare clear, decision-useful commentary, presentations and documentation for senior management, including narratives suitable for governance forums
  • Production of regulatory submissions such as FRY-14A and FRY-14Q PPNR, and required regulatory documentation, including controls and quality assurance to ensure regulatory compliance
Review & Challenge (R&C), documentation and controls
  • Conduct and document model- and management-level Review & Challenge (R&C), including checks on reasonableness, completeness, adherence to standards, and closure of follow-up of questions
  • Partner with model owners and accountable executives in Business, Risk, Finance to analyze, review and challenge stress test submissions in support of governance sign-offs
  • Produce and maintain high-quality stress testing documentation (methodology narratives, process/run books, evidence packs, control checklists, assumptions logs, and decision logs)
  • Execute and evidence process controls and assurance activities, including maintaining records in relevant tooling (e.g., Helios for controls/assurance, where applicable)
  • Support the annual Risk Control Assessment and contribute to ongoing strengthening of the stress testing control environment
Process coordination, governance and workflow management
  • Support end-to-end coordination across stakeholders (Treasury Finance, Risk, ADA (model development), Businesses including IWPB and CIB, Model Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Technology and Group)
  • Maintain schedules, dependencies, and delivery tracking; support workflow planning and process controls (including in Appian, where applicable)
  • Prepare governance management materials for senior management and Board-level review, including action tracking and approvals coordination
  • Support regulatory submission readiness through completeness checks, tie-outs, and audit-trail quality control
Systems, data lineage and reporting support
  • Support BAU operation and continuous improvement for CCAR-related platforms and reporting processes (e.g., STAR/TM1 and supporting tools), including run reproducibility and controlled change management
  • Support CCAR regulatory reporting processes (e.g., “14A” schedules where applicable) through reconciliations, traceability, and documentation
