The firm's Alternatives Capital Formation (ACF) team is part of the Client Solutions Group within Asset Management, managing capital raising and strategy for alternative investments including private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, sustainability, secondaries, GP stakes, and hedge funds.
This specific ACF role sits within the External Investing Group (XIG) as part of the Vintage Strategies team. The Vintage Platform is Goldman Sachs Asset Management's dedicated secondary investing platform. Since inception, the Vintage Funds have raised nine globally diversified secondary funds and four strategy-specific vehicles, having invested over $85 billion across more than 775 secondary transactions — making it one of the leading secondaries franchises globally since 1998.Principal
responsibilities include: leading client engagement and product management across the full fundraising lifecycle for Vintage Real Estate strategies; serving as a core commercial partner to the secondaries investment team on fund strategy, mandate design, and vehicle structuring; building and deepening long-term relationships with global institutional investors (pensions, sovereign wealth funds, insurers, endowments, foundations, and consultants); managing a high volume of investor interaction across the lifecycle including due diligence processes, portfolio updates, and bespoke mandate structures;
and owning go-to-market execution in partnership with senior stakeholders.
The role requires significant capital markets experience, strong investor relationship skills, and deep familiarity with alternative investment products including secondaries and real estate strategies.
