Associate​/Vice President, Investment Banking - Private Capital Advisory

Position Summary

Guggenheim Securities (“GS”) is seeking an experienced Associate / Vice President to join its Private Capital Advisory team in New York. Private Capital Advisory is a rapidly growing and strategically important initiative. The team advises private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real‑estate sponsors on GP‑led secondary transactions such as continuation funds and on structured LP secondary transactions such as collateralized fund obligations.

Candidates will work closely with industry bankers on transaction teams, providing crucial support on client relationships, business development, and transaction execution.

• Prepare and contribute to delivery of client presentations and interact with senior bankers, clients and lawyers.
• Design and develop financial models and valuation analysis.
• Perform company and fund‑level due diligence, prepare confidential information memoranda and other transaction‑related documentation.
• Manage investor outreach and facilitate the due‑diligence process.
• Conduct market research including identifying industry trends.
• Gather and analyze information, develop and communicate recommendations to senior team.
• Assist in identifying new potential business opportunities across the secondary market.
• Contribute to the management and development of the analyst class.

• 4–8 years of work experience (private capital advisory is preferred).
• Core modeling and valuation experience.
• Significant maturity and ability to interface with top private equity sponsors, secondary investors and internal senior management.
• Understanding of the private equity and secondary markets.
• Highly organized and motivated, with initiative and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Effective process management abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 3 years of investment banking experience or equivalent experience.

This role is expected to be in the New York office at least four days per week.

Annual base salary between $175,000 and $250,000. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary. The range listed reflects base salary only; total compensation may include incentive compensation.
