Position Summary:
The consultant will support an impact assessment for a Loan IQ platform transformation initiative at a major global financial institution. Responsibilities include analyzing the current Loan IQ environment used by the New York office, responding to information requests, and facilitating issue resolution with global project stakeholders in both New York and Japan. The consultant will collaborate closely with business users and IT teams to identify impacts, gaps, and considerations related to the future migration from a locally managed Loan IQ implementation to a global Loan IQ platform.
Strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities in both Japanese and English are required.
- 2-3+ years of experience as a consultant, IT vendor, or financial institution employee (preferably banking), in one or more of the following areas:
- Commercial lending or loan operations
- Banking system implementation, enhancement, or transformation
- Bank application support or system configuration analysis
- Technology consulting within financial services
- Business analysis or requirements gathering for banks
- Fluent Japanese communication skills for interaction with Japan-based stakeholders
- Professional English communication skills for collaboration with local teams
- Ability to conduct structured fact-finding, research, and impact analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to gather and consolidate information from multiple stakeholders
- Experience documenting business processes, system usage, and functional requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience with Loan IQ (business user, analyst, consultant, or support role)
- Understanding of commercial lending products and loan lifecycle management
- Familiarity with syndicated lending operations
- Experience conducting system impact assessments, gap analyses, or discovery workshops
- Knowledge of Loan IQ configuration, functionality, and workflows
- Experience with banking platform migration or modernization programs
- Understanding of enterprise application architecture and system integration
- Experience working with global, cross-functional project teams
- Familiarity with Japanese and North American banking operations
- Residence in the New York metropolitan area (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent practical experience
- Loan IQ training or certification
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- CBAP or equivalent business analysis certification
- Banking or financial services certifications
- Microsoft Office Specialist (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Agile or Scrum certifications
