Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Cash Controller Consultant
to analyze legacy cash breaks between general ledgers and bank statements across various entities, with a particular focus on a swap dealer entity.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of
Fixed Income products
, ranging from bonds to derivatives, along with a solid Operations and/or Finance background. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate and resolve cash discrepancies across multiple teams.
- Perform daily reviews of GL cash balances against bank statements.
- Generate summaries of cash breaks across currencies.
- Investigate breaks in partnership with Operations, IT, and Finance teams.
- Participate in daily calls to identify the root causes of cash breaks.
- Conduct month-end reviews of cash balances against statements.
- Perform balance sheet substantiation.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of Product Control experience.
- Product Control and/or Operations experience with Fixed Income products.
- Strong knowledge of cash processes.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively within a team.
- Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas.
- AI skills are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
