Location: New York
A leading global alternative investment firmis looking for an ambitious Senior Manager/Director of Financial Reporting (SEC) with a leading global investment firm.
This is a key role supporting a growing investment platform, with a strong focus on SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, fund-level reporting and complex investment structures.
The individual will oversee the preparation and review of quarterly, annual and ad-hoc SEC filings, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks and 8-Ks, while working closely with Finance & Accounting, Legal, Operations, Investment teams and external auditors.
The role would be a great fit for someone who enjoys being hands-on and taking ownership of the reporting process, but also wants exposure to a broad range of stakeholders and complex transactions. There is also an opportunity to help improve and modernize reporting processes through technology, automation and other efficiencies.
Qualifications- 7+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience
- Strong U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting experience
- A background in public accounting and/or industry
- Experience with in asset management, private equity, infrastructure, alternative investments or financial services
- CPA preferred
- BDC, investment company or regulated fund experience is a plus
- Workiva, XBRL or reporting technology experience is helpful
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams are equally important.
Compensation$225,000 per year
