As part of HCMA, you’ll have the opportunity to advise clients on mergers & acquisitions, equity, debt, and structured financings, new entity formations, insurance-linked securitizations, and other critical strategic initiatives. Through regular interaction with professionals throughout the Howden Group, you will also get exposure to many of the industry’s leading minds and gain valuable perspectives and insight on the trends that are driving the global P&C industry forward.

We serve the full spectrum of clients in the global P&C insurance value chain, from distributors, managing general agents, insurance carriers, reinsurers, insurtechs, and other service providers, as well as a diverse range of industry investors including private equity sponsors, credit specialists, asset managers, pension funds, family offices, insurance-linked securities funds, and other institutions.

As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to:

Participate in the origination and execution of M&A, equity, debt and ILS transactions;
Prepare presentation materials for use in client meetings; covering topics such as strategic alternatives, capital markets activity and general corporate finance;
Preparation of company valuations using various methodologies including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, trading comparables and transaction comparables;
Build detailed financial models to evaluate performance under various operating scenarios and to analyze the impacts of different capital structures and potential M&A transactions;
Preparation of company marketing documents and client presentations in addition to performing research and various analyses in support of new business generation;
Participate in all stages of transaction executions, from the pitch phase through closing

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in finance or related field required with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.5;
Prior internship in investment banking, transactional valuation, advisory or corporate development ;
Demonstrated academic achievement and excellence outside of academics;
Excellent written and verbal skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Demonstrated ability to work in a time sensitive environment and under pressure with tight deadlines;
Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail;
Demonstrated leadership abilities;
Solid interest in the financial sector;
Excellent PC skills; advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint a must;
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

The expected base salary for this role is $105,000. The base salary range is based on level and is only part of the overall compensation package, which includes discretionary bonus and competitive benefits.
