Summary:

A career in our State and Local Tax Financial Services practice will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients solve business issues related to restructuring, new tax laws, and local tax developments. You’ll assess clients’ state and local tax burden and recommend solutions that support their business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and rules. Our team helps clients transform risk and compliance related to state and local taxes into a business advantage by aligning their state tax plan with their overall strategy.

Your focus areas will include abandoned and unclaimed property, income and franchise tax, payroll and employment tax, credits and incentives, and indirect tax. You will collaborate with a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

As part of the State and Local Tax Financial Services team, you will lead the way as a technology‑enabled tax advisor who delivers value through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies. You will analyze complex problems, mentor others, and maintain rigorous standards. You will build client relationships and develop a deeper understanding of the business context, learning how to manage and inspire others while navigating increasingly complex situations.

• Lead and contribute to the strategic vision of the State and Local Tax Financial Services team.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation.
• At least 2 years of experience.

• Master’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation (preferred).
• Experience in partnership tax compliance and public accounting practices.
• Knowledge of tax forms, including K‑1s, FAS
  109, FIN
  48.
• Experience identifying and addressing client needs.
• Building substantial relationships with clients.
• Communicating with clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner.
• Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.
• Providing guidance and feedback to less‑experienced staff.
• CPA or commitment to pass CPA exam before being promoted to Manager and thereafter obtain CPA or active member of the Bar.

Up to 20% travel.

$77,000 - $214,000.

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
