Wholesale Banking – Transaction Services Americas – Director – NYC
The Director will lead the Trade & Working Capital Solutions franchise, advising corporate and institutional clients on solutions to mitigate risk in trade transactions and optimize working capital management. The role is based in New York and reports to the Head of Trade & Working Capital Solutions for the U.S.
Responsibilities- Act as a subject‑matter expert and proactively identify and originate Trade & Working Capital Solutions, including Trade Finance (SBLCs, Guarantees, DocLCs, etc.) and Working Capital Solutions (Receivables Finance, ABCP receivables securitization, supply chain finance, inventory finance).
- Lead client engagements to identify and address needs through Trade & Working Capital Solutions, driving successful sales outcomes.
- Origin new business and develop a personal pipeline of opportunities.
- Structure deals from start to finish, determining the optimal parameters for each transaction.
- Obtain necessary internal commercial approvals and prepare credit approval packs in partnership with an Analyst/Associate.
- Engage with Senior Credit Risk Officer to address queries about deal structure.
- Engage counsel on drafting, negotiating and executing legal documentation.
- Minimum 10 years of combined experience in banking or financial services.
- Experience at a global financial institution preferred.
- Master’s degree or equivalent advanced level education.
- Expert understanding of working‑capital fundamentals and end‑to‑end implementation.
- Experience structuring complex, multi‑jurisdictional supply chain and receivables finance transactions, and Asset‑Backed Commercial Paper securitization is strongly desired.
- Expert knowledge of Trade Finance solutions, especially Standby Letters of Credit, including client advising, structuring, facility implementation and follow‑up.
- Strong marketing and presentation skills with experience preparing and delivering presentations to existing and prospective clients.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and creative thinking abilities.
- Self‑starter, entrepreneurial, resilient, and able to deliver under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Flexible over working hours and willing to travel.
- Team player with solid Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
Salary Range: $212,000–$268,000.
