Job Overview
Position:
Vice President, Infrastructure Finance (Wholesale Banking – Sector-Based & Specialized Lending) – NYC
Liability:
This role is within ING's Wholesale Banking division (SSL) and responsibilities include originating, structuring, and underwriting infrastructure financings across the Americas with sector expertise, credit judgment, and execution skills. The incumbent will partner with coverage, execution/portfolio/agency teams, and other product partners to deliver complex project finance transactions.
- Work independently and in coordination with team members to originate and execute new infrastructure transactions.
- Drive the credit process from inception to financial close; prepare internal memos and credit approval packages.
- For straightforward transactions, structure and execute, including due diligence, negotiations, and final documentation.
- Engage with financial markets, Debt Capital Markets, and Research to cover all aspects of the transaction.
- Process amendments, waivers, and other approvals in accordance with ING policies.
- Steer the origination narrative and marketing materials for lending (client pitch, deal teasers, internal presentations).
- Keep abreast of market trends in the infrastructure market in the Americas.
- Assist in development and mentoring of junior team members.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Planning or related field with quantitative skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial experience, preferably within the infrastructure sector.
- Specialized knowledge in concession/PPP/P3 project financing, NAV-based financings, infrastructure corporate/Hold Co lending, and acquisition/leveraged infrastructure finance.
- Network of contacts in infrastructure finance field and strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and operating financial models.
- Comprehensive understanding of core financial documents and industry dynamics.
- Previous credit analysis background and familiarity with Corporate and Investment Banking markets.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, inventiveness, client‑relationship building, and organizational skills.
- Strategic thinking and can‑do mindset.
- Spanish (plus), DATACENTER financing exposure, FINRAcertified (SIE, Series
79 &63) preferred.
Salary: $185,000–$240,000 per annum.
