During yourprogramme,you’llgain exposure androtate between Sales and Trading desks, seeing how both sides work together to help clients succeed.
Early starts and a fast pace –you’llwork around market hours, with the busiest moments often at market open and close.
Get hands-on with data andglobal market dynamics:
Analyse market trends, spot patterns, collect and present data, contribute to reports, help support client pitches, andmaintaintrading and sales performance records.
Contribute to real projects that strengthen client relationships and trading strategies.
Work with our Trading and Sales teams to support client portfolios and learn about key asset classes like foreign exchange, emerging market rates, commodities, global debt markets, equities, and securities financing.
Build tools and finance models using Excel, VBA, or Python to support trading and sales activity.
Regularlyusethe industry platforms we rely on like Bloomberg, Reuters, and HSBC’s own toolsthat keep global markets moving.
Builda strong foundation in financial products and howthey’reused.
Manage risk and profitability while helping clients make smart decisions.
What you’ll learnWe’llsupport you with all the training and development you need to succeed. Your journey will typically begin with any local regulated training and exams. This is followed by our Global Graduate Induction, whereyou’lltrain alongside your graduate peers. The induction provides you with an overview of HSBC, as well as an opportunity to build a global network of graduates and business colleagues, which will prove invaluable as your HSBC career unfolds.
Onceyou’vecompleted the Global Graduate Induction,you’lltake part in a global tailored training programme to build both the technical understanding and professional capabilityrequiredfor your role.
- Be available to workfull time for 2 years commencing July 2027
- Will have completed your studies byJuly 2027
- Have obtained, or expect to achieve, a minimum GPA of4.0/5.0or3.2/4.0(or overseas equivalent, as shown on your official university transcript/degree certificate)
- Belegally permitted to work in the USAfor the full duration of the graduate programme and beyond the graduate programme end date,without requiring HSBC visa sponsorship, now or in the future
