Royalty and Accounting Administrator

• Oversee royalty and accounts payable operations for NYU Press
• Manage financial settlements with reviewers, authors, and suppliers
• Administer the end-to-end royalty accounting and reporting process
• Maintain moderately complex financial and budgetary spreadsheets
• Prepare payment documentation
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions
• Support budgetary, financial, and administrative functions of NYU Press
• Assist with data querying, financial forecasting, modeling, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting and analytical requests

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance organization
• Experience delivering high standards of customer service
• Experience processing a high volume of financial records
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with financial systems and maintain databases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact with authors and vendors professionally
• Familiarity with financial applications and publishing industry applications such as ACUMEN
• Familiarity with accounting applications such as UDW
• Ability to supervise, train and assign work to student employees
• Familiarity with iBuy

Demonstrates expertise in overseeing royalty and accounts payable operations, managing financial settlements, and administering the royalty accounting process. Proficient in financial forecasting, variance analysis, and maintaining financial systems and databases.
