Our AmLaw 100 client is hiring a transactional tax associate for its New York team. Legal 500 highlights the firm’s non-contentious U.S. tax practice, including financial products and fund formation strength, along with high-value M&A and restructurings.

• Negotiate and draft tax provisions in purchase and merger agreements, partnership agreements
• Research and advise on complex tax issues tied to deal structuring
• Support tax planning for transactions involving M&A, private equity, debt finance, restructuring, special situations, and private credit

• 2+ years of transactional tax experience from a large firm or Big Four equivalent
• Comfortable owning discrete tax work streams with supervision appropriate to level
• Strong writing and issue-spotting skills, especially under deal timelines

• Variety: corporate and partnership transactions across sponsor, credit, and restructuring-adjacent matters
• A tax group recognized for PE and financial products work, with meaningful deal integration
• NYC base range listed at $225,000 to $415,000
