A Financial Services Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as VP, Credit Operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the operational execution of investment transactions from initial setup through closing and ongoing lifecycle support.
  • Manage transaction processing, funding activity, settlements, cash movements, and related operational requirements.
  • Ensure accurate trade and position booking, data maintenance, and cash and position reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to support timely transaction execution and resolve operational issues.
  • Support amendments, restructurings, and other non-routine investment activity.
  • Maintain effective controls and identify potential operational risks throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Lead initiatives focused on workflow enhancements, automation, and increased operational efficiency.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team while promoting accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in investment operations, transaction management, or a related financial-services function.
  • Experience supporting complex investments and transaction workflows.
  • Strong understanding of trade processing, settlements, cash movements, reconciliations, and investment lifecycle activities.
  • Previous experience managing and developing a team.
  • Ability to oversee multiple transactions and competing priorities within a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with sound judgment and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience strengthening operational controls and improving processes.
  • Familiarity with alternative investments or less-liquid financial products is preferred.
