We're partnering with a leading private credit investment firm that's looking to bring on a VP of Credit to lead the underwriting, structuring, and risk management of private credit and asset-based lending transactions. The role will have significant ownership across the deal lifecycle, work closely with senior investment professionals, and oversee a team of credit professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Lead underwriting and due diligence across new private credit, asset-based lending, and structured credit opportunities.
  • Evaluate borrower financials, cash flows, collateral, capital structures, and downside risks.
  • Build and review financial models to assess credit risk, returns, and transaction structures.
  • Structure key deal terms, including advance rates, covenants, eligibility criteria, and concentration limits.
  • Prepare and present credit memos and investment recommendations to senior management and investment committees.
  • Conduct stress testing and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
  • Work closely with legal, investors, counter parties, and other internal teams throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Manage and develop a team of Analysts and Associates.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, securitization, structured credit, or a related field.
  • Strong credit underwriting, financial analysis, and modeling skills.
  • Experience with loan documentation, covenants, and transaction structuring.
  • Ability to independently manage complex transactions from underwriting through closing.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
