Credit Analyst II

• Conduct in-depth industry and financial analysis of existing and potential borrowers
• Support Lending and Credit functions of the Bank
• Perform financial analysis of moderately complex loans, industries, and Customers
• Research industry-specific information using external sources, borrowers, publications, libraries, other banks, credit agencies, and the Internet
• Participate in Customer meetings and make direct inquiries for specific Customer information
• Perform underwriting analysis of borrowers’ character, creditworthiness, and financial condition
• Provide analytical support to the lending function
• Prepare timely approval memorandums for lending and credit authorities
• Analyze financial statements, management profiles, business and product cycles, cash flow ability, collateral, and agings
• Identify trends, measure performance, assess financial strength, and develop credit-risk assessments
• Prepare written analyses with recommendations for approval, denial, or alternative structures
• Maintain credit files and monitor updated financial statements and analysis memorandums
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements
• Identify deviations from the Company Commercial Loan Policy and recommend alternative structures to reduce credit risk
• Achieve operational performance standards for quality and timeliness

• 4 year degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years related experience required
• Developed knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques
• Ability to gather, consolidate, analyze, and summarize data to provide recommendations
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Developed PC skills, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of credit and Customer information
• Good interpersonal skills and a team orientation
• Ability to travel domestically occasionally
• Ability to perform sedentary work and operate standard office equipment
• Ability to concentrate for long periods of time
