Private Equity Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller opportunity with a Brand Name Private Equity Fund in NYC.

This role is open due to growth and provides exposure to both fund and management company operations. You'll work closely with the front office and external stakeholders, offering high visibility and development.

• Oversee capital calls, distributions, management fees, and waterfall calculations.
• Support valuation processes and liaise with valuation committees and auditors.
• Monitor fund cash flows and liquidity needs.
• Manage relationships with external service providers (auditors, tax advisors, fund administrators).
• Partner with investment teams to understand deal structures and support transaction closings.
• Provide insights on fund-level implications of new investments or exits.
• Help interpret and communicate financial data to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with internal reporting packages for senior leadership and LPs.
• Participate in special projects including new fund launches, system implementations, and process enhancements.
• Contribute to performance reporting and portfolio monitoring initiatives.
