Working within the Institutional Banking group, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients — formulating investment strategies and executing complex transactions that directly shape the growth of Citi's franchise.
This is an opportunity to bring your capital markets expertise to a global platform where your work delivers measurable client impact.
- Advise clients across the Media & Communications sector on mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions, serving as a strategic intermediary throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Execute investment banking mandates end-to-end, coordinating closely with the Institutional Banking team to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Apply M&A and capital markets expertise to evaluate corporate transaction structures, identify strategic options, and support client decision-making.
- Develop and present financial analyses — including valuation models, transaction comparables, and market assessments — to support client advisory engagements.
- Build and sustain client relationships by supporting business development efforts, tracking industry trends, and contributing to sector research.
- Mentor and develop junior analysts by providing structured guidance, managing information flow, and offering real-time feedback on work product and professional development.
- Contribute to the growth of Citi's Investment Banking franchise by bringing sector insight, client focus, and transactional expertise to every engagement.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in investment banking, capital markets, or a closely related financial advisory discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate corporate transactions and structures, with hands‑on experience executing M&A or capital raising mandates.
- Proven track record building financial analyses, including valuation models and transaction-related financial assessments.
- Clear and concise communicator, both in written materials and verbal client‑facing settings.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate across teams, and maintain rigorous attention to detail in a fast‑paced transactional environment.
- Active Series 79 and Series 63 licenses, or eligibility to obtain them.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- Experience supporting client development activities, including pitching, relationship management, and sector coverage.
- Ability to track and synthesize business development intelligence — including competitive research and industry trend analysis — to inform client strategy.
At Citi, you will work alongside experienced professionals on high-profile transactions that shape industries and create lasting value for clients. This role offers the scope to develop your advisory career within a globally respected investment bank, with the support, resources, and platform to help you perform at your best.
- A hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely, supporting a sustainable and productive work rhythm.
- Meaningful leadership exposure through analyst mentoring and hands‑on deal execution across the Media & Communications sector.
- Access to continuous learning and professional development resources to advance your technical and advisory capabilities.
- Competitive financial rewards, including compensation and benefits packages aligned to your seniority and contribution.
