PositionDescription
The Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) serves as LISC's senior financial planning executive, providing strategic leadership for enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, performance management, capital planning, and decision support. As a key advisor to the Deputy CFO, CFO, Executive Leadership, and Board of Directors, the Vice President translates complex financial and operating information into actionable insights that support organizational strategy, resource allocation, and long‑term financial sustainability.
Reporting to the SVP, Deputy CFO, the Vice President leads the FP&A function and is responsible for developing a high‑performing team, advancing financial planning capabilities, and driving a culture of data‑informed decision making across the organization. The role works closely with leaders across Accounting, Treasury, Information Technology, People & Culture, Lending, Local and National Programs, and affiliate entities to align financial resources with strategic priorities and organizational impact.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape the financial strategy of one of the nation's largest Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). The successful candidate will combine strong financial leadership with a commitment to LISC's mission, helping the organization deploy capital, manage resources, and strengthen communities nationwide.
The position is preferably based in New York, NY; however, qualified candidates located within LISC's footprint will also be considered.
Responsibilities Executive Partnership & Governance- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the Deputy CFO, CFO, executive leadership team, and Board on financial performance, resource allocation, organizational strategy, and risk management.
- Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, Finance & Investment Committee, Asset Liability Committee, and executive leadership.
- Lead enterprise forecasting, scenario planning, stress testing, and multi‑year financial modeling to assess organizational sustainability and inform strategic decision‑making.
- Align long‑range financial forecasts with organizational strategic priorities, growth initiatives, and capital needs.
- Lead financial evaluation of new business initiatives, investments, partnerships, and organizational structuring opportunities.
- Lead capital planning and liquidity forecasting to support organizational growth and financial sustainability.
- Lead the development, presentation and execution of LISC’s annual operating and capital budgets.
- Deliver strategic financial reporting and trend analysis to executive leadership, board, and other external partners.
- Partner with organizational leaders to deliver actionable financial insights, forecasting, and performance analysis that support decision‑making.
