VP​/Principal - Cap PE, Value Infrastructure

Madison Hunt is partnering with a leading large-cap private equity fund on a search for a VP / Principal to join its New York infrastructure investment team.

The firm has an established track record investing across the infrastructure sector and is currently raising its next fund, targeting approximately $8bn. The strategy has a broad infrastructure mandate with a focus on value-add opportunities across the market.

The successful candidate will join an experienced investment team and be involved across the full investment lifecycle, including sourcing, underwriting, transaction execution and portfolio value creation.

• Evaluate new investment opportunities across a broad range of infrastructure sectors
• Lead and support financial analysis, due diligence and investment underwriting
• Work closely with senior investment professionals through transaction execution
• Contribute to investment committee materials and presentations
• Support portfolio companies and value creation initiatives post-investment
• Develop relationships with management teams, advisers and other market participants
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the investment platform

• VP or Principal with experience in infrastructure private equity or a closely related investment strategy
• Strong transaction execution and investment underwriting experience
• Broad infrastructure exposure preferred, although deep sector expertise in a relevant area will also be considered
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities
• Commercially minded with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a lean, high-performing investment team
