Position Overview

The Director of FP&A will lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for a dynamic, multi-channel organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive financial performance, support strategic decision-making, and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will combine strong FP&A expertise with a solid accounting foundation and a passion for process improvement. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes to align with company goals.
  • Develop financial models, revenue forecasts, and expense projections to support strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for leadership.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify key risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to establish budgets, monitor performance, and improve financial outcomes.
Required Experience/Skills
  • 8–15+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and planning systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Anaplan).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Preferred Experience /Skills
  • Experience in retail, consumer products, luxury goods, apparel, wholesale, or ecommerce environments.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Power BI, Shopify, Blue Cherry, or Gemini.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, growth-oriented organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement and leveraging technology for efficiency.
  • Leadership experience in building and mentoring high-performing finance teams.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Continuing education in financial systems or analytics tools is advantageous.
