Senior Alternatives Fund Formation Tax​/Legal Structurer

We are partnering with a global asset manager seeking a Senior Alternatives Fund Formation Tax/Legal Structurer to lead the development and launch of new investment products across real estate, infrastructure, private credit and liquid real assets.

This individual will manage a small team while remaining hands-on in fund structuring and product delivery, working closely with investment teams, sales, tax, legal, compliance, and external advisers to bring new products to market.

• Lead the design, structuring, and launch of new alternative investment funds in the US, overseeing projects from initial concept through approval and implementation.
• Assess tax and legal considerations for new products, coordinating with internal specialists and external advisers to develop practical solutions.
• Partner with investment and distribution teams to define fund structures, commercial terms and target investor markets.
• Manage and develop a team of 3-4 VP-level professionals, providing technical guidance and overseeing delivery across multiple initiatives.
• Drive product strategy by identifying opportunities for new funds and enhancements to existing products.
• Coordinate stakeholders across fund operations, finance, risk, legal, tax, and compliance to resolve issues and deliver launches on schedule.
• Support global product development initiatives and maintain oversight of the US alternatives product pipeline.

• Strong tax and/or legal structuring background with direct experience advising asset managers on alternative investment fund formation.
• Demonstrated experience designing, structuring, and launching new alternative investment products.
• Knowledge of alternative asset classes, particularly real estate, infrastructure, and private credit.
• Familiarity with fund structures including REITs, tender offer/interval funds, and alternative investment funds serving retail and institutional investors.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage a team while remaining directly involved in execution.
• Strong project management skills and experience coordinating investment professionals, commercial teams, and technical advisers.
• Commercial judgment and the ability to translate complex tax and legal considerations into practical product solutions.
• Relevant experience within an asset manager, professional services firm, or investment fund's legal practice. Fund-controlling backgrounds will also be considered where there is substantial experience in fund formation and launches.
