Job Title: Equities Trade Operations Analyst

Location: New York, NY

Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate: $33/HR (W2 Only)

Job/Role

Description:
  • Support post-trade operations for Equities Sales and Trading desks, helping ensure accurate and efficient trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, and risk management.
  • Partner with internal teams and external parties to support the booking and settlement of equity trades and maintain accurate books and records.
  • Work directly with custodians, issuers, and external brokers to resolve issues related to settlement instructions, trade settlement, and outstanding cash or stock breaks.
  • Investigate daily operational exceptions and inquiries to identify root causes and determine appropriate resolutions.
  • Review exceptions within internal books and records, resolve discrepancies, and establish issues when necessary.
  • Support reconciliation activities and help identify and resolve cash, position, and trade-related breaks.
  • Maintain a strong focus on operational risk, controls, and accuracy throughout the trade lifecycle.
  • Analyze existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities to reduce operational risk and eliminate repetitive or inefficient work.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to help achieve strong operational and client service outcomes.
  • Assist with small projects and process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Manage multiple processing deadlines throughout the day while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong attention to detail with a risk-conscious and control-focused mindset.
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear, structured, and concise manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
