Associate, DSCR Capital Markets

THE OPPORTUNITY

Conventus is seeking an analytical, deal-oriented, DSCR-focused Associate to join our Capital Markets team. This role owns the initial screening of prospective DSCR lending opportunities, arranging loan financing on warehouse lines, managing the DSCR loan sale process with counter parties, maintaining and growing investor relationships, and helping build out the Company's DSCR program as we scale.

This role reports to the VP, Head of Capital Markets and works closely with the VP, Head of DSCR Lending and Conventus' Credit, Operations, Product, and Technology teams.

Required 4 days per week in the office (Monday–Thursday).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• DSCR Loan Prescreening & Pricing: One of the most critical activities in this role is reviewing DSCR loan opportunities and making fast, thoughtful judgments about whether capital should be committed based upon your initial evaluation of credit quality, collateral, loan structure, business considerations, and pricing. The Associate will identify key risks, structural considerations, and issues requiring further review, and will internalize Company strategy along with investor and warehouse guidelines and requirements so that your prescreening decisions reflect both Conventus' business goals and current market realities.
  
  The Associate's structuring and pricing of DSCR loans will enhance conversion rates and help establish consistent, repeatable prescreening and pricing approaches that improve the speed, quality, and scalability of DSCR lending decisions.
• Capital Markets Interface & Loan Sale Execution: The Associate will own the end-to-end DSCR loan sale process with the internal team and investor counter parties from commitment through execution and delivery. Responsibilities will include negotiation and management of loan sale agreements; analyzing the DSCR pipeline and portfolio to support pricing, financing, and loan sale decisions; rate locking DSCR loans with investors and monitoring lock positions;
  
  monitoring investor requirements, warehouse lender guidelines, and secondary market conditions and trends; translating intelligence and market changes into pricing and eligibility updates; ensuring accurate pricing in Company systems, tools, and communications; previewing exception loans with investors to secure approval for purchase upon closing; coordination with internal teams to ensure loan-level data, documentation, and collateral packages meet investor delivery requirements and deadlines;
  
  tracking and resolving post-sale issues such as investor diligence conditions and repurchase requests; analyzing competing bids, spreads, and execution outcomes across counter parties to determine best execution and maximize proceeds; monitoring pull-through and fallout between trade commitment and delivery to improve execution certainty.
• Investor Relationships: Serve as a primary day-to-day point of contact for the DSCR investor base, sourcing, maintaining, and expanding relationships, assuring operational alignment and smooth process, and anticipating investor needs to support consistent execution. The Associate may represent Conventus in investor discussions on loan-level questions, pricing, and program updates and should gather and synthesize investor feedback and market intelligence to inform pricing, guidelines, and product direction.
• DSCR Program Development: Partner with the VP, Head of DSCR Lending and internal credit, operational, marketing, and technology teams to develop and refine DSCR pricing frameworks, guidelines, and eligibility policies; support go-to-market strategy for DSCR in new and existing markets; help ensure DSCR policies, procedures, and guidelines remain aligned with industry standards and investor requirements; identify tools, technology, and process improvements that will help the program scale.
