Job Description:This job is responsible for supporting the execution of substantive money laundering, economic sanctions, and fraud compliance and operational risk practices. Key responsibilities include assisting Global Financial Crimes (GFC) executives and managers in identifying, escalating, and mitigating compliance and operational risks in alignment with the Compliance and Operational Risk Management (CORM) Program, the Financial Crimes and Global Compliance Enterprise Policy and Global Standard, and the Enterprise Fraud Risk Management Standards.
This individual contributor role supports oversight of the Company’s Global Financial Crimes Program for Global Wealth Management, Global Markets, Wealth Management Operations, and Global Markets Operations (collectively, the Front Line Units) in compliance with applicable Bank Secrecy Act/Anti‑Money Laundering (BSA/AML) laws, rules, and regulations.
The role requires strong risk management discipline, data management and analysis competency, experience with operational risk processes and ability to identify and assess inherent financial crimes risk and controls. Success in the role requires strong communication and influencing skills to strengthen FLU controls and enhance the Company’s ability to detect and prevent suspicious activity.
Responsibilities:- Lead discussions with FLUs, Control Functions (CFs), Global Compliance and Operational Risk (GCOR), and Global Financial Crimes (GFC) partners to assess business processes, internal controls, client behavior, transaction activity, regulatory developments, and emerging financial crimes risks.
- Review FLU- and CF policies and standards to ensure regulatory requirements and operational risks are appropriately addressed.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the GFC Coverage Plan, including the identification of key risks and coverage priorities.
- Produce and oversee financial crimes risk reporting for GCOR and FLU leadership.
- Monitor financial crimes regulatory developments with a focus on broker‑dealer activities, and advise senior leaders on emerging requirements and risks.
