Position Overview

The Asset and Liability Management (ALM) Associate Director will be a key contributor to PNC’s Chief Investment Office, supporting the CIO and senior staff in managing over $200 billion in fixed‑income assets and derivative products, and executing initiatives related to interest rate risk, capital and liquidity regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities- Support senior staff in regulatory, governance, and other initiatives within the CIO Office and propose recommended actions to senior management.
- Coordinate with portfolio managers, modelers, and other subject‑matter experts on assignments.
- Oversee new projects and analytics, including the creation, maintenance, and utilization of management reports to help the group meet its goals and directives.
- Make recommendations based on knowledge of markets, macroeconomics, banking and regulatory requirements, and assess the potential impact on PNC and the assigned business unit.
- Use independent judgment and discretion to perform transaction and portfolio‑level analysis, conduct research, and prepare reports.
- Perform due diligence and statistical analysis related to portfolio management.
- Utilize a working knowledge of financial instruments for the bank’s investment portfolio to contribute to investment decision‑making processes and development of investment/trading strategies.
- Develop, maintain, and utilize management reports and new projects that help the group meet its goals and directives and establish the organization’s risk position.
- Identify problems in analytics and develop solutions.
- Interact with internal and external service partners, including broker dealers and analytics providers, and leverage their knowledge.
- Develop, administer, and perform defined processes and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of markets and macroeconomics and make associated recommendations.
- Assess the potential impact of these factors on ALM and the assigned business unit.
