The internal audit team provides independent audit assurance on Nomura’s internal controls. Intern will participate in the audit process with a focus on inherent risk identification, internal control testing, continuous business risk monitoring and issue follow-up.

The Summer Analyst Program runs for 10 weeks, during which Analysts will enjoy extensive contact with Nomura professionals at all levels through discussion groups, seminars and informal social functions. This program is an integral component of our full time recruiting. Please note this not a rotational program.

We aim to provide Summer Analysts with the same level of exposure as a first‑year Analyst, with a hands‑on opportunity to participate as full members of the team. They are expected to form effective working relationships and to demonstrate a commitment to the firm’s goals and values.

During the course of the internship, Summer Analysts benefit from working closely with a peer and interacting regularly with a senior mentor.

• Participate in all phases of audit engagements (planning, fieldwork, and reporting)
• Conduct research using professional literature and industry resources
• Review and interpret internal policies and external regulations
• Support data analytics and testing procedures
• Engage with business stakeholders during meetings and process walkthroughs
• Document and analyze test results
• Present findings to audit leadership
• Contribute to developing audit recommendations and action plans

• GPA: 3.2+
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (all majors considered, with preference for Accounting, Finance, Economics, or English)
• Graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 at a college/university in the United States
• No requirement for sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or in the future

The intern position has a set base salary at an annualized rate of $70,000 per year. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
