Corporate Debt Finance Associate

Experience:

2–3 years’ PQE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Debt Finance Associate to join a highly regarded US law firm in either its New York City or Los Angeles office.

The successful candidate will work on a range of sophisticated leveraged and commercial finance transactions, advising borrowers and other market participants across sponsored and non-sponsored deals.

• Advise on syndicated lending and secured finance transactions
• Work on leveraged finance matters for private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies
• Support borrower-side asset-based and cash-flow credit facilities
• Draft, review and negotiate credit agreements and related finance documents
• Coordinate due diligence and manage key stages of transactions
• Work closely with clients, partners and colleagues across related corporate practices
• Take increasing responsibility for transaction management and client communication

• Approximately 2–3 years’ PQE
• Strong leveraged finance and/or corporate debt experience
• Experience in syndicated lending, secured transactions or other commercial finance matters
• Familiarity with private equity-sponsored and non-sponsored financings
• Experience with debt capital markets instruments would be advantageous
• Excellent drafting, analytical and transaction-management skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Admitted to practise in the relevant jurisdiction, or eligible to become admitted
