Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Analyst

- Minimum of 8+ years of substantial credit and financial analysis experience
- Strong analytical ability and technical skills in accounting, financial statement and cash flow-based analysis, capital structures and debt documentation
- Knowledge of corporate credit, commercial real estate, data centers, project finance, and the ability to analyze complex debt structures preferred
- Intellectual curiosity, honesty, thoroughness, sound judgment and ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly verbally and in writing
- Outstanding people skills with the ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels, including C-suite, and represent the Moody's brand credibly and effectively
- Diligence, sense of ownership and ability to meet tight deadlines with high quality outcomes
- Adaptable, with a change mindset and willing to learn new technologies and tools
- Committed to continual learning and growth, authentic and passionate about caring for and inspiring others, engaging with multi-cultural awareness
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
This role is responsible for delivering rigorous credit analysis, maintaining sector expertise, and engaging with issuers and the broader marketplace to uphold and expand Moody's reputation as a trusted source of credit insight.
- Ensure ratings accuracy for the assigned portfolio through rigorous and timely credit analysis
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of relevant sectors and issuers
- Articulate robust credit views and make recommendations to rating committees
- React promptly to new developments and market events
- Build rapport with management teams and the broader marketplace, communicating critical credit views that enhance Moody's Ratings' relevance, expand our brand and reputation as a trusted source of credit insight
- Publish topical, thought-leading, forward-looking, and transparent research reports
- Collaborate at all levels internally; coach junior associates and develop their credit skills
- Cultivate relationships with the highest level of professional integrity, transparency, and fairness
- Embrace new technologies that support efficiency and process improvement
