Thisrolewillserveasakeyfinancialpartnertobusinessandoperationalteams,withresponsibilityacross
revenue management,budgeting,forecasting,billing,andfinancialoperations
. The ideal candidate understands how the financial and operational sides of a media or publishing business work together and can effectively manage the financial lifecycle of revenue-generating business areas.

You’llworkcross-functionally with

Finance,Accounting,Shared Services,Treasury,andbusinessstakeholderstoensureaccuratefinancialreporting,effectivebudgetmanagement,timelyinvoicingandcollections,andvisibilityintooverallfinancialperformance.

What You’ll Do

• Ownandsupport
  revenue management,budgeting,and forecasting
  acrossassignedpublishing/mediabusinessesandrevenuestreams.
• Manage monthly
  revenuerecognitionandforecasting
  ,partneringcloselywith
  
  Accountingthroughoutthemonth-endcloseprocess.
• Monitor budgets,actuals,costs,andfinancialperformance,identifyingvariancesandprovidingactionablefinancialinsightstobusinessleaders.
• Partnerwithbusinessstakeholderstounderstandfinancialneeds,commercial priorities,andthefinancialimpactofbusinessdecisions.
• Manageandtrackthe
  end-to-endinvoicingprocess
  ,frominvoicecreationthroughclientpayment,ensuringrevenueisaccuratelyandtimelyrecognized.
• Partner with Accounts Receivable and Treasurytomonitoroutstandingreceivables ,analyzeaging,andhelpresolveoverduepayments.
• Review
  budgets,contracts,scopesofwork(SOWs),purchase orders,andpaymentterms
  toensurefinancialandbillingaccuracy.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable and Shared Servicestoensurevendorpaymentsandpurchase -orderprocessesarecompletedaccurately.
• Supportfinancialplanningrelatedto
  staffing,resource allocation,headcount/staffcosts,andbusinessexpenses
  .
• Handlefinancialandworkforceinformationwithappropriatediscretion,includingconfidentialemployeeandstaffingdata.
• Participateinbusinessandprojectwrap-upprocessestoensurerevenue,receivables,payables,andwork-in-progressitemsareappropriatelyreconciledandclosed.
• Supportadhocfinancialanalysisrelatedto
  revenue,profitability,budgets,costs,forecasting,and staffing
  .
• Developstrongcross-functionalrelationshipsandclearlycommunicatefinancialinformationtobothfinanceandnon-finance stakeholders.

What We’reLooking For

• 3 to 5+ years of relevant finance experience
  ,ideally within
  publishing,digital media,media,orarelatedcontent-driven business
  .
• Strongexperiencein
  Commercial Finance,Client Finance,Financial Operations,oracloselyrelatedfunction
  .
• Hands-onexperiencemanaging
  revenue,budgets,and forecasts
  withanunderstandingofhowfinancialperformanceconnectstobusinessoperations.
• Experience with
  revenue recognition,invoicing/billing,accounts receivable,month-endclose,andfinancialreporting
  .
• Experiencepartneringcross-functionallywithbusinessstakeholdersratherthanoperatingsolelywithinatraditionalcorporatefinancefunction.
• Exposure to
  staffing/resource allocation,headcount planning,labor costs,orworkforce-relatedfinancialplanning
  ishighlyvalued.
• Experience with
  NetSuiteoracomparablecommercialERPsystem
  .
• Strongproficiencyin
  Exceland Google Sheets ,includingpivottables,lookups,andfinancialanalysis.
• Bachelor’sdegreein
  
  Finance,Accounting,Business,orarelatedfield.
• Strongorganizationalandproject-managementskillswiththeabilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesinafast-paced environment.
