Our New York Return to Work program will run from January 18, 2027 through May 7, 2027 in our New York office. This 16-week paid program places participants in roles that align with their existing expertise while also broadening their horizons through comprehensive training, mentorship, and professional development.

Finance Associate — Return to Work Candidates

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources.

This requisition is for Finance Associate opportunities in Morgan Stanley’s New York-based Return to Work program. Key Responsibilities:

Produce and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly profit and loss reports.
Prepare and review balance sheets, income sheets, and financial forecasts.
Conduct analysis for budget forecasting, stress testing, and financial modeling.
Support business projects, regulatory reporting, and risk management initiatives.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to provide actionable insights and timely reporting.
Serve as a trusted advisor on financial processes, reporting accuracy, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated accountability, ownership, proactiveness, attention to detail, and organization.
Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment and enhance processes to drive efficiently.

Preferred

Skills and Experience:

Interest in and familiarity with financial markets and products
Previous experience in audit, accounting, controllership, of FP&A
Experience with digital tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx
Product control, FP&A, Management Reporting
Balance Sheet and Revenue Analysis
Profit and Loss Calculations
Regulatory Reporting & Reconciliation
Financial Products such as stocks, bonds, FX, equities, credit, commodities, IPOs, and global capital Markets

Program Duration:

Return to Work programs will run for approximately 16 weeks from January 18, 2027 to May 7, 2027.

Eligibility Criteria:

This program is designed for individuals who have been out of the workforce for two or more years. The two-year eligibility requirement will be calculated as of the January 2027 program start date.
