Investment Banking Analyst Tech M&A; Global Middle Market

Our Client, a global advisory firm, is seeking an Analyst to join its Technology Investment Banking team in New York.

This role offers significant transaction experience, client exposure, and the opportunity to work within a highly active middle‑market technology platform. The team advises clients across a broad range of sectors, including software, fintech, tech-enabled services, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure.

• Support the execution of M&A and strategic advisory transactions, including sell-side, buy-side, recapitalization, and other corporate finance assignments.
• Conduct financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, market research, and buyer / investor analysis.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including operating models, DCFs, LBOs, and comparable company and precedent transaction analyses.
• Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, management presentations, board materials, and other transaction-related deliverables.
• Assist with the coordination and management of transaction processes, including due diligence, buyer outreach, data room management, and process tracking.
• Work closely with senior bankers, clients, private equity investors, legal counsel, and other transaction stakeholders.
• Develop a strong understanding of the technology sector and contribute to ongoing sector research, market intelligence, and business development initiatives.
• Take on increasing responsibility throughout the transaction process within a collaborative, lean team environment.

• 1–2 years of investment banking experience with exposure to M&A transaction execution.
• Prior experience within a Technology, TMT, Software, Fin Tech, or Tech-Enabled Services practice is preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Experience building and maintaining financial models, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analyses.
• Ability to manage multiple work streams and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong understanding of software, technology, and recurring revenue business models is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to high-quality execution.
• Bachelor's degree required.
