Senior Manager, NYFS Insurance Tax Services

KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice.

• Provide tax provision, compliance, and advisory services to a variety of clients from Fortune 100 to emerging businesses
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide insurance industry knowledge and experience in the review of statutory and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) income tax provisions
• Manage a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients
• Lead teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects
• Handle risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets
• Advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice

• Minimum eight years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firm
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
• Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG’s approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740
• Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information
