Guardian Summer Intern, Expense Management FP&A

Our 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our offices.

This 10-week internship provides you with realistic experiences and information of what it is like to work at Guardian.

Interns may have the opportunity to be considered for Guardian's Finance Leadership Development Program upon successful completion of the internship. We are seeking candidates who are curious, adaptable, and excited to gain exposure to different areas of the Finance and Risk organization.

The internship program will run from Thursday, May 27, 2027
- Friday, August 6, 2027.

A current junior (graduation date of May 2028) who is fueled by collaboration, able to listen and make quick decisions and thrive in a goal-oriented environment.

• Proficiency with finance and accounting principles
• An interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk and a willingness to learn about different functions and career paths across the organization
• Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power Point

• Familiarity with AI powered tools/Co Pilot

• Assist in the preparations of various reports, work papers, provisions, and reconciliations
• Assist in tracking and reporting expenses, expense analysis, financial statement analytics, and journal entries
• Assist in process improvement, automation, and ad hoc requests as needed

• Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. $20.00 - $35.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
