Investment Banking M&A Associate

A leading independent investment bank is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its growing Mergers & Acquisitions team in New York. This is an opportunity to work on highly strategic sell-side, buy-side, and capital advisory transactions across a variety of industries while partnering closely with senior bankers and clients.

• Execute live M&A transactions from initiation through closing.
• Build and maintain complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials.
• Prepare pitch books, management presentations, confidential information memoranda, and board materials.
• Conduct industry, company, and market research to support client engagements.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage communication with clients, counter parties, legal advisors, and other stakeholders.
• Work directly with senior bankers on strategic advisory assignments and transaction execution.
• Mentor and oversee analysts while helping manage day-to-day deal processes.

• 3-5 years of investment banking experience.
• Current Investment Banking Associate or Senior Associate at a bulge bracket, elite boutique, middle market investment bank, or independent advisory firm.
• Strong M&A transaction execution experience.
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple work streams and deadlines simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
