Equities Back Office – Trade Lifecycle Specialist

Our client is seeking an experienced Equities Back Office professional with strong end-to-end trade lifecycle experience
. This individual will be responsible for supporting the processing, settlement, and reconciliation of equity trades from execution through final settlement, while partnering closely with front office, middle office, operations, technology, and external counter parties.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of equities products, post-trade processing, settlement, reconciliations, and operational controls within a capital markets environment.

• Manage and support the end-to-end lifecycle of equity trades
  , from trade capture through confirmation, settlement, and post-settlement activities.
• Process and monitor equity transactions across the full back-office trade lifecycle
  .
• Review trade details and resolve discrepancies between internal systems, counter parties, custodians, and clearing organizations.
• Support trade confirmation, matching, settlement, and exception management
  .
• Investigate and resolve failed or unmatched trades, settlement breaks, and operational exceptions.
• Perform daily cash and position reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Finance, Technology, custodians, brokers, and counter parties to resolve trade-related issues.
• Monitor settlement deadlines and ensure transactions are processed accurately and within required timelines.
• Support corporate actions, dividends, stock splits, and other equity-related lifecycle events as needed.
• Identify recurring operational issues and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Maintain strong operational controls and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
• Participate in system enhancements, testing, and implementation of new products or processes.

• 3+ years of experience in Equity Operations / Back Office within a financial services or capital markets environment.
• Demonstrated end-to-end equities trade lifecycle experience

• Strong understanding of trade processing from execution/trade capture through confirmation, matching, settlement, reconciliation, and post-settlement
  .
• Experience working with trade breaks, failed settlements, reconciliations, and exception management.
• Knowledge of equity products and post-trade processes.
• Experience working with brokers, custodians, clearing firms, and counter parties.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Experience supporting institutional equities, prime brokerage, or equity finance
  .
• Familiarity with DTCC, DTC, NSCC, or other clearing and settlement infrastructure
  .
• Experience with trade/operations platforms and reconciliation systems.
• Experience with T+1 settlement and related operational requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL or other data tools is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
