JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Finance is the senior financial leader of the property and a key member of the Executive Committee. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for safeguarding hotel assets, ensuring financial integrity, maximizing profitability, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

Partnering with ownership, asset management, corporate finance, and department leaders, the Director of Finance drives sustainable financial performance while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, internal controls, and ethical conduct.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Financial Leadership & Business Strategy

• Act as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and Executive Committee.
• Lead the annual budget, monthly forecasting, long-range planning, and capital planning processes.
• Drive financial performance through revenue optimization, cost management, profitability improvement, and cash flow management.
• Present financial results, forecasts, and business analyses to ownership, asset managers, and corporate leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability while preserving luxury service standards.

Accounting, Controls & Compliance

• Oversee all finance and accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, Payroll oversight, and cost controls.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP, USALI, company policies, and ownership requirements.
• Maintain a robust internal control environment that safeguards company assets.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements.
• Maintain financial records, contracts, leases, and insurance documentation.

Cash Management & Asset Protection

• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, working capital, and credit policies.
• Oversee capital expenditure tracking, FF&E reserves, and investment analysis.
• Support ownership in evaluating strategic investments and capital projects.

Commercial Partnership

• Partner with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to maximize hotel performance.
• Evaluate pricing strategies, market trends, competitive benchmarking, and business opportunities.
• Provide financial analysis to support commercial decisions and revenue initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee insurance programs, contract reviews, vendor agreements, and financial risk management.
• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS and data privacy requirements.
