The Capital Strategy Manager supports investment and finance teams by designing, analyzing, and executing strategic initiatives for capital allocation and portfolio optimization.
This role blends financial modeling, market research, and strategic planning to help organizations deploy capital efficiently, optimize portfolio performance, and drive growth. It involves close collaboration with portfolio managers, investment teams, and senior leadership to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and risk-return targets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement capital deployment and investment strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Conduct market research, sector analysis, and portfolio performance reviews to identify opportunities and risks
- Collaborate with investment teams on portfolio construction, scenario analysis, and capital allocation decisions
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and investment committees
- Monitor portfolio performance, liquidity, and capital efficiency metrics
- Identify strategic initiatives to improve investment returns and optimize resource allocation
- Support fundraising, investor engagement, and stakeholder communications with strategic insights
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align capital strategy with organizational priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Strong understanding of capital markets, investment strategy, and portfolio management
- Experience in private equity, credit, real assets, or strategic capital planning (preferred but not required)
- Advanced analytical and modeling skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and portfolio/analytics tools
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives in fast-paced environments
