Assistant Vice President, Tax

Company Overview:

A leading global investment manager specializing in alternative investments, managing approximately $200 billion in assets, is seeking an Assistant Vice President for their tax reporting function. This role will focus on providing real-time tax data and analytics to streamline reporting and support informed decision-making.

• Coordinate and oversee projects and work streams within the tax reporting function
• Manage tax deliverables and processes alongside external tax service providers
• Deliver accurate and timely tax information for the management company and partners
• Ensure accuracy and timing of US federal, international, state, and local tax returns, and payments
• Review and calculate book/tax differences, tax allocations, trial balance, capital accounts, and partner allocations
• Assist in the analysis of cross-border acquisitions and dispositions for proper tax treatment
• Review quarterly tax estimates, withholding statements, and annual K-1 deliverables
• Draft communications to senior stakeholders and partners across the organization
• Draft correspondence with state and federal tax authorities
• Manage responses and documentation for all aspects of audits

• 7-9 years of relevant tax experience
• Strong knowledge of general accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Bachelor's degree relevant to position and CPA preferred, Master's degree a plus

Salary: $150,000 - $185,000, Plus Bonus
