  • $140, Base Salary (Depends on Experience) + Yearly Bonus

  • Hybrid (4 days onsite).
  • Targeting Manager and Senior Manager level Big 4 Tax professionals. Must have FS clients within Asset Management, 5-7+ years of experience.
  • Best case opportunity for candidates looking to move out of public and gain private experience. You will gain exposure to a variety of Asset Classes and build toward your Pub/Priv mix background within the highest end of the Asset Management space on the Private side.

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking an Assistant Vice President to manage domestic and international tax compliance and investment support across its multi-asset fund platform. In this role, you will drive operational best practices for tax reporting while collaborating closely with deal teams, external advisors, and broader finance leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Tax Compliance & Allocation Review: Oversee federal and multi-state book-to-tax reconciliations, tax return filings, income allocations, and Schedule K-1 production for various investment vehicles, partnerships, corporations, and feeder structures.
  • Transaction & Investment Analysis: Evaluate potential tax implications associated with the acquisition, holding, and disposition of fund assets.
  • Trading & Securities Tax Adjustments: Monitor trading activities to ensure accurate tax accounting for complex instruments, including wash sales, straddles, and constructive sales.
  • New Product Structuring: Partner with deal leadership on launching new investment vehicles, including evaluating tax leakage scenarios, designing target fund architectures, and addressing investor-specific tax considerations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with third-party fund administrators, accounting partners, and external tax specialists to maintain seamless transaction processing and reporting accuracy.
  • Investor & Audit Support: Address tax queries from Limited Partners, support due diligence requests (including IRR analysis), and manage responses to tax authority notices or regulatory audits across multiple jurisdictions.

    Assist adjacent business lines with tax oversight for retail and co-investment vehicles while continuously identifying opportunities to mitigate risk and improve workflow efficiency.

Qualifications & Background

We are looking for an analytical, highly motivated tax professional with a track record of success in fast-paced financial environments.

  • Experience: 5+ years of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or in-house tax experience focused on alternative asset management and complex investment partnerships.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field. A CPA license or Master’s in Taxation/Business is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in U.S. partnership taxation and financial product taxation.
