Executive Director, Liquidity

Our client, a major global bank that is rapidly expanding its U.S. platform, is seeking an Executive Director to lead the coverage of financial risk management and lending across its Americas division. This individual will serve as the team’s subject matter expert on liquidity, and can sit in either New York City or Jersey City. The role offers genuine growth, high visibility, and closer regulator engagement in a stable, relationship-driven culture.

The annual base salary range is up to $250,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead audits of liquidity risk, credit risk, risk appetite, stress testing, capital management, and enterprise risk governance
• Work closely with regulators, second line functions, and business stakeholders
• Oversee audit coverage of complex lending portfolios, including corporate banking, private credit, and NBFI lending, across the full credit lifecycle.
• Direct continuous monitoring and risk assessments
• Validate remediation of regulatory findings
• Manage and develop a strong team of experienced auditors

Job Requirements

• 15+ years of risk or audit experience in banking
• Deep, hands‑on liquidity expertise such as LCR, NSFR, and ILST
• Candidates from second line risk roles are welcome, since audit methodology can be learned
• Expert knowledge of Regulation YY, SR 13-3, SR 11-10, and CFR 23.600 is required
• Strong leadership and communication skills
