As a Director for Private Infrastructure investments, this role focuses on portfolio management and monitoring of private fund and joint venture equity investments across transportation, power, digital, social infrastructure, conventional and renewable energy sectors. The position involves supporting asset management of existing portfolio holdings, including representing Nuveen on the boards of portfolio companies and on Limited Partner Advisory Committees (LPACs). The Director will serve as a deal lead for sourcing, underwriting, and conducting due diligence on new investments, including direct equity joint ventures, new fund investments, and co‑investments with select General Partners.

This encompasses engagement in governance discussions including annual budgets, business plans, financing and capital raising initiatives, company staffing needs including compensation matters, and legal and compliance issues. The role requires close collaboration with senior research and analysis staff on various infrastructure and energy‑related investments, including financial modeling throughout the investment lifecycle, with particular focus on energy transition assets, transportation infrastructure, and digital infrastructure investments.

The Director will engage with internal and external business partners to monitor portfolio activities, drive value creation opportunities, and ensure downside protection for the portfolio. The position includes directing deal teams of junior associates and analysts on performance analysis, financial modeling, and transaction structuring for co‑investment opportunities, while driving legal documentation, negotiation, and investment structuring processes.
